Packed with unique and versatile features to make audio recording easy and reliable for on-the-go creators, the Sennheiser Profile is a two-person wireless microphone system that features backup recording and a charging bar that doubles as a handheld or desktop mic. The system provides clear and reliable audio at a line-of-sight distance up to 800' via a pair of miniature clip-on omnidirectional mics/transmitters, each of which also offers backup recording for worry-free productions. The ultracompact, two-channel receiver can either be mounted on a DSLR camera or plugged directly into the Lightning/USB port of a smartphone or laptop. Setup is quick and easy with no app required, and the components arrive factory-paired, making it simple for users at any experience level to deliver Sennheiser-quality wireless audio for their viewers and audiences.
Two Miniature Wireless Clip-On Mics with Backup Recording
- Simply attach the lightweight miniature mic/transmitters to your talent via the integrated clips or use the included magnet mounts for more placement options. Threads on the bottom of the clips allow you to attach stands for desktop use.
- The built-in omnidirectional microphones pick up sound in a forgiving 360° radius, helping to keep levels consistent, even when the talent turns away from the mic or placement isn't ideal.
- Each transmitter includes 16GB of internal memory for up to 30 hours of internal recording, providing backup takes at 24-bit / 48 kHz resolutions for worry-free wireless. Recording can be activated locally at the mics or remotely from the receiver. Engaging the Backup Recording Mode will automatically start backup recording if the wireless signal becomes weak.
- Locking 3.5mm input jacks with plug-in power on the transmitters allow you to use a wide variety of separately available Sennheiser and third-party lavalier microphones if you prefer a more discreet appearance.
- Two furry windscreens are provided to effectively suppress wind noise while still recording clear sound, each fits securely over the transmitter's mic capsule for a low-profile look.
Miniature Dual-Channel Receiver for Cameras and Mobile Devices
- The tiny dual-channel receiver can either be mounted on a DSLR/mirrorless camera using the included 1/4"-20 thread adapter or plugged directly into your smartphone, tablet, or laptop via the included Lightning and USB-C adapters.
- Use the supplied cable to connect the 3.5mm analog output to your camera or deploy the USB-C port adapters for a 24-bit / 48 kHz digital connection to your computer or mobile device. A second 3.5mm jack provides headphone monitoring.
- Three output modes are available.
- In Stereo Mode, transmitter 1 is sent to the left channel, while transmitter 2 is sent to the right channel.
- In Mono Mode, both transmitters are summed together and sent to both the left and right channels.
- If you're in a hurry with limited time to verify levels, use the Safety Mode, which sums both transmitters to mono and outputs the audio at your selected sound level on the left channel and at a lower level on the right channel to help protect against distortion and clipping.
- The receiver's clear OLED touchscreen shows you important information at a glance, including levels and transmitter battery life; it even includes a gyro sensor that automatically rotates the display 180° for optimal viewing.
- The touchscreen and multifunction button allow you to easily control parameters for each transmitter remotely. Set gain levels, mute the mic, engage the low-cut filter, turn the LEDs on/off, and check/delete the memory, all from the receiver.
Use Charging Bar as Handheld or Desktop Mic
- The transmitters and receiver all feature built-in rechargeable batteries that provide up to 7 hours of operating time.
- The included charging bar will supply additional battery life for a maximum operating time between 15 to 18 hours in the field without access to AC power; a USB-C to USB-C charging cable is included.
- In addition to the transmitters and receiver, the smartly designed charging bar neatly accommodates the camera-mount, USB-C, and Lightning adapters as well as the transmitter magnet mounts, making it easy to keep everything organized.
- Simply leave one or both of the clip-on transmitters in the charging bar and you can use it as a handheld microphone with back-up recording, great for man-on-the-street interviews or passing around during Q and A sessions. It's also well suited for desktop use and features a 1/4"-20 thread on the bottom for compatibility with a wide range of tabletop stands.
- Using only one clip-on transmitter in the charging bar allows you to operate the second clip-on transmitter at the same time, but the receiver only supports a maximum of two microphones at once.
- When used as a mic, the charging bar offers over 15 hours of operating time.
- The clip-on transmitters can be recharged while the mic is in use.
- A foam windscreen is provided to reduce light wind noise and vocal pops (plosives).
- All the components and accessories fit neatly into the supplied carrying pouch, which includes accessory pockets for the 3.5mm cable, the USB charging cable, and the furry windscreens for the clip-on transmitters.
